Rhonda Mann is a strategic writer and storyteller with more than 30-years-experience in non-profit and healthcare communications. She began her career as a television news director and medical journalist in New Hampshire, Maine and eventually at WCVB-TV in Boston, where she served as executive producer and an on-air reporter for HealthBeat, the station’s award-winning medical desk, working under national ABC News Medical Editor, Dr. Timothy Johnson. In 2007, she was hired by Harvard teaching hospital Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) to begin a consumer-focused marketing program. As Marketing Director there, she launched that city’s first Facebook page and the area’s first brand journalism program through an official partnership with her former station, WCVB. She was eventually promoted to Chief Marketing Officer and also managed BIDMC’s relationship as the Official Hospital of the Boston Red Sox.
In 2018, Rhonda took the position as head of communication for the Commonwealth’s Office of Health and Human Services, where she served as chief spokesperson and spearheaded a state-wide opioid awareness campaign. In 2019, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Tufts Medical Center in Boston’s Chinatown, managing internal and external communication throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rhonda is a frequent lecturer at conferences and universities and has won multiple awards including a national Headliner, Gabriel, multiple Lamplighters and a New England Emmy.
